| Designed to function as the centerpiece for a holiday meal, this generously proportioned turkey platter offers enough space to comfortably hold a 20-pound bird. Created by renowned Wedgwood artisans, the piece is part of the Nantucket Bone China collection whose inspiration comes from the hand crafted baskets of late 19th century Massachusetts. Reflecting this inspiration, a textured woven pattern surrounds the 20-by-14-1/4-inch perimeter. Additional details include two horizontal extensions functioning as handles, pure white glossy surfaces, and most notably: a raised turkey figure centered on the platter. Although clearly intended to serve a grand bird, the platter can also handle a broad selection of hors d'oeuvres or finger desserts for a crowd. Made of 51 percent bone ash, the strong bone china cleans in the dishwasher and is both microwave- and freezer-safe.  Beautiful pattern but surface flawed |

The Nantucket Basket pattern compliments any table setting and the Turkey platter is especially nice. However, the plate arrived with 2 surface cuts highlighted by a marker. The description didn't mention that it was a flawed piece or used. As we have dinner plates that become marked from knives or forks during normal use, we decided to keep it and be extremely careful with the China. However, how to do you explain this to guests? Wedgwood had a problem with this line as the surface doesn't hold up to normal use. Will be contacting Wedgwood again.
